pBm players took 6 golds (including 2 shared with Miri players - under 12 & 14 girls doubles) and 5 silvers out of the total 14 events. Miri team top the list with 6 golds and 3 silvers. The journey to the venue was quite long - by plane from Kuching to Miri, then by bus from Miri airport to the express wharf (45 min) and by express to Marudi, Baram (over 3 hrs). The hotel were quite clean though have to wait for one day before the dust settled down! At RM 94 per day each room were big enough to squeeze in 5 to 6 players! Thanks to Eric's father who share his hired express thus help us to save some of the express cost, otherwise at RM 20 per trip per player! Though a small town, the people there were friendly and most shops close before 7pm! We couldn't find McDonald or KFC so most of us eat the local oriental food and our Muslim players, Arif and Azubair had a hard time finding halal food for dinner! We have to engaged a local from Marudi to buy halal food from the kampong every night for them. Even though a small town for us without wheels were too far anywhere! This tournament, overall, pBm players has improved as from the results only 3 out of the participating 24 players didn't make it into the quarter final.
