Andy Ng who recently won the Under 16 Boys Singles title in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah was awarded high-end Yonex brand badminton racket

All pBm players who went to Marudi, Baram and participated in the recent State Junior Circuit II were all given a lunch treat at theKFC outlet.
After the lunch, all players went through their Fitness Assessment results which was conducted the previous week - analyzing,
comparing and discussing at length...

Officially, pBm training center has been approved by Majlis Sukan Negeri Sarawak (MSNS) as one of the 'Center of Excellence'. This means we can make
use of the gymnasium facilities for a start...extra training boys & girls!

First Gym Session for Many!

For many of pBm players it was their first time inside a gym! 13 of them turned up for their first session by the experience coach and trainer from MSNS prior to start of a proper strength training program the following week.

New Faces in pBm!
pBm will be recruiting 2 new players/sparring partners/trainees in the very future - one from Indonesia and the other one from Johor. This is inline with pBm steps to lift the players standard of play.
Meanwhile Pei Wee Chung, currently ranked 77 in BWF has been training regularly here, preparing for the coming Hong Kong Open and China Open. Hopefully a few adjustments on his physical conditioning, diet and mental preparation will see some improvement in his game.
All Ready for the Final Aged Group Tournament! 25th October, 2009
pBm will be sending a full team to the above tournament scheduled to start on the 30th October until 1st November, 2009 at the SBA Hall, Jalan Airport. In this tournament the categories are under 12, 15 & 18 yrs boys & girls which will be a tough challenge for pBm players as most of the players here are under 15 or 16 yr of age. The line up of the players are as follows:

Its KFC from Our Sponsors Again!  Once again, our sponsor, Bayu Sempurna gave the players a treat to the KFC outlet in MJC beside incentivesin the form of sporting equipment to the winners of the recent State Under 15 & 18 tournament.
After that there was a 2-hr session review on the recent players performances and also training preparation for coming tournament in Sabah.

 pBm players will have to undergo a 4-week intensive training to participate in the coming tournament. For many this is a good exposure to see how our Sabahan players' current performance and also to gauge their improvement! They have always been better than our Sarawak players especially the girls but this year, Andy Ng broke the egg when he won the Sabah/Sarawak under 16 champion title thus qualify for the National Grand Prix Finals!

pBm trainees were all invited to Hartz Chicken in Sarawak Plaza for the last treat for the year 2009 - this was for the performance they have given during the Sabah aged group tournament (Kejohanan Badminton Tertutup Remaja Sabah Siri-2 dan Jemputan 2009).
There were team work and quite a lot of improvement from the players particularly those who went for the first time to play in a stadium!

Badminton is not all about winning! Displaying your skills tactically during competitions is very important. From there one can see their future in badminton.....
